National Search Services is looking for a Data Warehouse Tester located in the Orlando area. This is a 6-month contract.

Description:

• Data Warehouse Tester Contractor needs to sit in the Orlando office 5 days/week. Our goal is to use technology to get the right information to the right people, at the right time, via the right channel. As a member of our application development team, you have the opportunity to leverage data from existing and new business systems to the benefit of marketing programs. With your strong data modeling, profiling, and ETL testing skills you will then test data integrations across channels, systems and technologies enabling our marketing management capabilities to benefit from the resulting knowledge to improve program effectiveness and increase ROI. We believe that work efficiency and solution ownership is derived from a thorough understanding of our products and business processes.
• Design and implement test plans and test cases for complex data integration processes in support of Vistana’s overall business objectives.
• Engage in system testing, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Test complex ETL and other integration points.
• Review functional requirements with team lead, and develop estimates.
• Log and retest defects found and corrected.

Requirements:

• Data Warehouse testing with exceptional analytic skills and the ability to learn fast
• 3+ years in Information Technology specializing in Data Warehouses & ETL. Ideal candidate would have experience in Microsoft SSIS or IBM DataStage but other platform experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL using Oracle and/or MSSQL Server in a Data Warehouse setting
• Comprehensive understanding of Data Warehousing theory, techniques, concepts and best practices is essential
• Undergraduate college degree, certification or equivalent work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement
• Experience creating Business Intelligence assets in tools such as MicroStrategy BI is a plus
• Experience with cloud database platforms such as Salesforce.com and Amazon RDS as ETL data sources is a plus
• Strongly Desired – Experience with Vacation Ownership industry

Preferred:

• Experience with implementation of marketing management tools such as Infor Epiphany, IBM Unica or other similar product.
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with QA Automation specifically Soup UI
